A Few Of Our Favorite Things | CLEAN BEAUTY

Hey friends! Many of you have been asking about clean beauty switches so my friend and eco beauty pro-makeup artist, Beth Walker and I wanted to share some of our favorite brands and products with you!

Hynt Beauty
This product line is more than “just mineral” or “just natural,” and purer than conventional prestige makeup collections. They hold themselves to the highest standards of ingredient quality and efficacy, and are honored to provide impurity-free makeup. They also aim to uphold the best environmental and ethical practices.
Janie’s Favorite: Eyebrow Definer, DUET Perfecting Concealer
Beth’s Favorite: ENCORE Pressed Powder, Finishing Powder

Beauty Counter | Skin Care, Body Care & Makeup
Beautycounter tirelessly advocates for stricter guidelines and regulatory laws to shift the personal care industry away from harmful and questionable ingredients. They’ve created the Never List™ which is made up of more than 1,500 questionable or harmful chemicals that they never use as ingredients in our products (the USA has only partially banned 30).
Janie’s Favorite: Charcoal Mask, Lipglosses, Brow Pencil, Eyeshadows
Beth’s Favorite: Eyeshadows

Gabriel | Makeup & Skincare
Without compromising aesthetics, functionality, or accessibility, Gabriel products offer consumers earth conscious and ethical options to their beauty needs. All products are made from 100% natural ingredients with no synthetic chemicals or animal by-products.
Janie’s Notes: I love that they offer refill pans of products so you can create your own palette. They have nail polishes free from formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, camphor, formaldehyde resin, xylene, parabens, fragrances, phthalates and animal ingredients.
Beth’s Notes: An old favorite of mine. They are connected to Zuzu which I sold at Pharmaca way back when. I love the lipsticks, glosses, lip pencils, eye pencils and eyeshadows. Not a huge fan of their foundations though.

Kjaer Weis
A luxurious brand but with minimalism and sustainability in mind. Created from the highest quality materials sourced from around the world, each ingredient in a Kjaer Weis product has been carefully considered for its ability to work with the skin, not against it. Every batch of makeup has been inspected by hand and remains free of parabens, silicones, petrochemical emulsifiers and synthetic fragrances. Made in Italy, almost all the products have been Certified Natural or Certified Organic by the stringent standards of the country’s certification body, the Controllo e Certificazione Prodotti Biologici.
Janie’s Notes: Almost everything is refillable, even the mascaras and lipsticks. What?! Higher priced but I love this concept.

Kosas | Makeup
Kosas does not contain parabens, pthalates, BHA/BHT, mineral oil, propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, “Fragrance”, petrolatum, vitamin A, retinoids, or retinoid derivatives. All products are gluten, egg, nut, soy, cruelty-free, and Leaping Bunny certified.
Janie & Beth’s Favorite: Lipsticks

Oway Organics | Hair Care & Hair Styling
This brand is the real deal. Biodynamic ingredients, green chemistry, fair trade networks, sustainable development, and holistic wellness. It’s a farm to bottle company who puts care, conscience and attention in every choice and action, creating quality products that respect environment and people. Free from mineral oils, parabens, synthetic fragrances, artifical colorants, GMOs, and toxins. Sustainable packaging from products to shipping. There are shampoos, conditioners, masks, and styling products for every hair type and the smells are AMAZING!!
Janie’s Favorite: Sebum Balance Hair Wash (I have oily hair), Phytoprotein Mist, Bio-Rich Water, and Nurturing Drops
*You have to shop through a licensed professional so you’ll have to enter in the partner code Edwards to place an order.

RMS | Makeup & Nail Polish
All RMS Beauty products are free of harmful chemicals, synthetic preservatives, synthetic vitamins, and genetically altered ingredients (GMO) etc. RMS Beauty is full of healing nutrients – nutrients that work synergistically with the skin, and are in harmony with nature and our environment. Each ingredient in RMS Beauty is carefully chosen to create a dialogue with the skin. Your touch activates the life force of the product, and nutrients interact with skin to promote hydration, softness, and luminosity. Packaging for RMS Beauty products is minimal, and all of it is biodegradable, recyclable or reusable.
Beth’s Notes: Not a great fit for everyone but still a wonderful brand. I don’t use it nearly as often as I’d like due to it not being great with tv cameras. I love their lip and cheek stains as well as their lipsticks. I’m a huge fan of coconut oil and adore that this is the main base. Small pots but a little goes a long way. Oh, the highlighters are pretty amazing, a fave with brides.

Tata Harper | Skin Care
Every single product they make is a Complex Formula packed with the most ingredients at the highest levels of concentration to deliver maximum results. Free from GMOs, toxins, fillers, artificial colors, artificial fragrances, and synthetic chemicals. Formulated, manufactured, and packaged at their farm in Vermont. Sustainable packaging from products to shipping. Higher priced but SUPER good.
Beth’s Favorite: Cleansing Oil

Vapour Beauty | Skin Care & Makeup
Handcrafted products with the purest organic and natural ingredients. Located in Taos, New Mexico, operating in a USDA Organic lab where they set and adhere to meticulous standards for purity beyond the requirements of many natural cosmetics certifying agencies. Vapour products never contain parabens, phthalates or nanoparticles. Vapour uses passive solar daylighting and renewable energy in their lab, offices and warehouse. They package solid products in aluminum and liquid products in glass, both widely recyclable. In the lab they use a flood-fill system that reduces waste. They choose product boxes made from managed forest paper stock, and printed with soy ink in a wind-powered facility.
Janie’s Favorite: Primers
Beth’s Notes: The cream base of all their products are great for the high altitude, dried skin.

100% Pure | Skin Care, Body Care & Makeup
Natural ingredients originate from nature and ONLY undergo chemical changes due to biological processes such as fermentation, distillation, and cold processing. 100% PURE® cosmetics are colored from vibrant fruit, vegetable, tea and other plant pigments which contain an exorbitant amount of skin beneficial vitamins, antioxidants and other healthy phyto nutrients that make skin healthier. No fillers, toxins, water, or synthetics. Committed to minimizing their carbon footprint in all areas of their business… biodegradable formulas, recycled/ recyclable packaging, biodegradable packing material, non toxic and soy inks for print, and their headquarter property is 100% solar powered and eco landscaped.
Janie’s Favorite: Bamboo Blur Powder, BB Cream (I use it sparingly since it has silica in it)
Beth’s Favorite: Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream
